Email reliability

Email is one of the oldest method of communication on the Internet and many organisations and businesses depend on it.

However, it’s not just used for legitimate business, and while the tools to prove identity and control spam go a long way to securing email it has also lead to the growth of large scale email providers such as Google Gmail and Microsoft 365, and their sometimes opaque policies have made it more difficult for independent email services to thrive. However, it’s not impossible, and the tools are freely available to monitor issues that your email may encounter.

I have 30 years experience in working with email, from setting up servers to send and receive mail, running anti-spam and anti-virus systems to protect senders and receivers and configuring SPF, DKIM and DMARC to help make delivery reliable. If that’s not reliable enough, there are always relay services such as Mailgun or Sendgrid. I also check your domain and IP address against blacklists. This is also provided as part of my site monitoring service.
